Project Overview
The Tree Plantation Program of Meghna Samaj Kalyan Sanstha (MSKS) is an environmentally focused initiative aimed at combating climate change, improving ecological balance, and promoting a greener and healthier society. Through this program, MSKS seeks to raise awareness among communities about the importance of trees in sustaining life and protecting the environment.
Under this initiative, saplings are planted in schools, roadsides, riverbanks, public spaces, and environmentally vulnerable areas. The program emphasizes not only planting trees but also ensuring their proper care, maintenance, and survival through community participation. Special attention is given to native and fruit-bearing tree species to support biodiversity and local livelihoods.
The Tree Plantation Program encourages active involvement of students, youth, volunteers, and local residents, fostering a sense of responsibility toward nature. By expanding green coverage, MSKS aims to reduce environmental degradation, enhance air quality, prevent soil erosion, and contribute to a sustainable future for coming generations.
