Project Overview
The Homestead Vegetable Cultivation Training Program is an agriculture-based development initiative of Meghna Samaj Kalyan Sanstha (MSKS) aimed at promoting food security, nutrition, and self-reliance among rural households.
On 17 December 2025, MSKS organized a training program focusing on vegetable cultivation within homestead areas. Participants were trained on seasonal vegetable selection, seed preparation, organic farming methods, soil management, irrigation techniques, and pest control using eco-friendly practices.
The objective of this program is to encourage families—especially women—to utilize their homestead spaces for vegetable production, reduce household food expenses, ensure access to fresh and nutritious food, and create opportunities for additional income.
This initiative contributes to sustainable agriculture, poverty reduction, nutrition improvement, and environmental protection, while empowering communities to become more self-sufficient.
